The MPI Business Competence Center (BCC)/MPI Operations in Malta is a team consisting of experts on Business Processes and IT Systems of the operational life of FTI Group’s DMC world. The MPI BCC/MPI Operations team consider the MP destinations as clients and our aim is to provide all entities with tools, concepts, processes, IT  solutions  and support to function smoothly in their day to day operation ultimately improving Time to Market  and Conversion, Data Quality and Efficiency on the production and job itself.

 

Their main focus as a BCC is:

  • Management of all MPI Group IT systems of all departments
  • Structure and Roll-out International Projects and Knowledge Transfer
  • To ensure efficiency of all key IT and Business processes by analysis, implementation of automation and ultimately challenging Business leaders on continuous improvements with a focus on Digitalization and Automation
  • Form an integral part in the development of new IT systems and business processes in terms of business ownership, leading on requirements and validation. The MPI BCC/MPI Operations team is the mediator between business departments and internal and external IT suppliers
  • Monitoring of System Data Quality and Support on a 1st and 2nd level
  • Provide destination support on the job, such as setting up of destinations, setting up of processes and workflows and assisting in crisis management when they arise
  • To synchronize with FTI Group’s functional departments, use synergies and ensure efficient process along the full supply chain
Aufgaben / Tasks
  • Leading the cross destination staff members: Malta team, MPI team in RS24 and in destination based staff be it MPI or Operations Managers Data and Systems.
  • Keep up a team culture that allows sharing opinions, full transparency and open feedbacks, giving helping hands and live hands on mentality.
  • Be the Culture Manager of the team and conduct team building and happiness activities.
  • Ensure the team is regulary updated with all information releveant to their work as well as FTI Group startegic visions, updates and business developments.
  • Communicate job expectations; planning, monitoring, appraising and reviewing job contributions in a structured way.
  • Coach and mentor management staff within the MPI BCC/MPI Operations team, structure and enforce personal development plans of all staff.
  • Promote and develop a continuous improvement culture across the entire MPI BCC/MPI Operations team.
  • Provide direction, empower, motivate and develop others in order to achieve business unit, group and organizational goals.
  • Maintain level of expertise within the team with continuous Training on systems and processes as well as other functional or personal areas as it becomes necessary.
  • Ensures the MPI BCC/MPI Operations is set-up in a way that allows staff members to work productively, use their full expertise and have a proper work-life balance.
  • Works collaboratively with all MPI and FTI Group stakeholders and individual departments to ensure high quality of standards, production efficiency and Ensures that all procedure outcomes in the DMC’s are in harmony with FTI Group’s strategic goals and guidelines.
  • Actively looks out and uses FTI Group Synergies, makes the MPI DMC world an integral part of the FTI Group in all aspects and ensures the adherence to FTI group policies and processes.
  • Defines a strategy and prioritization of projects, initiatives and improvements in the field of IT systems, Data and Process Management for the DMC world in alignment with MPI Group Management.
  • Drives Initiatives targeting state of the art Digitalization and Automation around Business and IT processes in the MPI world.
  • Ensures timely and on budget delivery of planned projects and initiatives and especially manages internal and external IT suppliers in this way.
  • Supervises and ensures quality of roll outs of International Projects and Initiatives.
  • Define process standards and standard KPIs.
  • Responsible for MPI GmbH Company 20 IT Cost budget planning and maintaining plans.
  • Approval of IT related invoices on a functional level.
Profil / Qualifikation
  • An academic qualification at graduate level (Bachelor’s degree) is desirable but not mandatory.
  • An honest and transparent character that staff can rely on his/her integrity.
  • Giving clear and constant feedback to staff in a motivating way.
  • Having the ability to be a sparring partner for staff and helps to develop thoughts, structure strategies and approaches.
  • Is committed, shows passion and has the talent to drive others.
  • Has strong analytical skills and ability to formulate pragmatic solutions for complex situations as well as being solution oriented and offering solutions for his staff.
  • Ability to present information in a concise and logical manner.
  • Have good organizational and time management skills.
  • Positive attitude with a smile, smart appearance and organizational skills
  • Have excellent communication skills including written and spoken English to wider audiences and diverse nationalities
  • Have a very good knowledge in Tourism Operations.
  • Have good understanding of technical processes.
  • Good understanding of business management as well as understanding key MPI business KPIs and financial performance.
  • Minimum of 3 years of professional experience in a similar position or relevant field.
  • Leadership experience of minimum 2 years.
  • Proficient in the use of MS Office applications.
  • Based in Malta office and needs a Maltese working permission.
